Discover how to reduce intraocular pressure by using collyrium or laser eye treatment
Glaucoma therapy essentially consists of reducing intraocular pressure. Putting collyrium in the eye in order to facilitate the downflow of the acqueous humour, or to reduce its production, can reduce intraocular pressure. A treatment using different laser types according to the type of glaucoma (narrow-angle, wide-angle) are advised. Outpatient treatment is almost painless: some anaesthetic drops are applied, which work quickly. Only if these treatments are no longer effective can you resort to surgery with or without a drainage implant.
