Pediatric Ophthalmology: diagnostic therapeutic clinic to treat ocular diseases in children

Blue Eye has developed a therapeutic-diagnostic method specifically for ocular pathologies in children, with particular attention to the study and analysis of the visual function from the first months of life. The postnatal visual system develops until the age of 8 years. Therefore, it is very important to early identify the pathologies that affect the eye to avoid irreversible damage of the functionality of the optic nerve. A right correction and a constant monitoring of the ocular motility in the first years can be determinant in terms of perfect visual functionality of the adult patient. It is not easy for a parent to understand if an eye disease affects their child. Therefore it is important to pay attention to some behaviours that could make it necessary to carry out an eye examination:

  • Abnormal head position
  • Tendency to bring objects nearer while playing
  • Hypersensitivity to light
  • Eye convergence or eye divergence
  • Difficulties in grasping objects
  • Frequent winking (the child squints frequently)
